Work to Weekend Wear: Parisian

Easy PBonjour, chiclets! I am having a romantic affair with midi/maxi skirts right now (I know, how French of me!) and thought I’d share an easy peasy way to channel your inner bon vivant for the office!

I’m all about being comfortable, but let’s face it, we don’t want to look sloppy either.  Pairing this breezy striped Bobo House tank with a blush tone is so effortlessly chic, yet totally comfy and office-appropriate! Add a floral scarf (floral + stripes = genius) and some fun Parisian accessories (Read: Eiffel Tower everything) and you’ll be the envy of the office! Psst! Check out Bobo House’s French inspired tees too… I’m a big fan!

Work to Weekend Wear: Italian Romance

Screen shot 2013-03-13 at 8.56.54 PMI LOVE these warm spring days, they remind me of romantic afternoons strolling through town in Milano, Italy.  Alas, our offices don’t appeal to our European alter-egos… le sigh… but that doesn’t mean that we can’t dress the part!  There’s nothing better than a fun flowy sequin top paired with a structured tomato red blazer and relaxed suit short, and this color combo screams ROMANTIC! For a little added luxury, don a silky lace bralette underneath, even if no one else sees it, you’ll feel like a million bucks… it’s the perfect outfit for a long spring day, with enough comfort for the office and just the right amount of sultry sophistication!

Shop the look: Topshop red crepe neck jacket, Madewell sequin drape tank, Madewell ‘Laugh Cry Repeat’ shorts, Alice + Olivia laser cut mirrored pumps, Honeydew polka-dot bralette, Madewell skinny patent belt, DVF lips mini clutch

Prabal Gurung for Target.  It’s finally here and flying off the racks!  I know what you are thinking… another Target collaboration… yawn yawn.  But, this collection has some legitimately adorable pieces that are super cute and versatile.  Minimally, it’s worth it to take a look online to see if there’s anything you can’t live without (or that hasn’t already sold out)!

Happy Monday peeps!

New H&M Commercial Offers a Visual Snack: David Beckham in his Undies!

So, this commercial has very little to do with the new David Beckham Bodywear for H&M, and that is perfectly okay.  The video, directed by Guy Ritchie, shows Beckham chasing a Range Rover (we’re meant to assume it’s Victoria’s) after it coincidentally steals the towel off of his body, running (slash swimming) through frames ‘Ferris Bueller style’ in nothing more than his skivvies and some fuzzy white slippers.  I’ve embedded it for you here. You’re welcome.

Nicolas Ghesquiere’s Final Ad Campaign for Balenciaga: Photos by Steven Meisel

Ghesquiere may be taking his final curtain call, but he is doing it with some poise.  The new ad campaign, shot by Steven Meisel, focuses our attention on the asymmetrical lines of the clothing with soft black and white photography and a simple backdrop.  What do you think? Brilliant or blah?
